John Neamonitis

John Neamonitis is the Founder and General Partner of Lakehouse Ventures. John began his career in as a macro analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman in 2002 and spent the next decade in analyst roles on the sell-side at Credit Suisse and Sanford Bernstein and then on the buy side at GoldenTree Asset Management,a $65 billion multi-strategy hedge fund. In 2013, he co-founded WorkOf, one of the largest marketplaces for independent furniture and design in the US. That experience was formative in the origin story of Lakehouse. In 2017, he began pooling together the earliest capital that would become Lakehouse Ventures. Today, Lakehouse manages over $100 MM in committed capital across its funds. John holds a dual degree in Finance and International business from the Stern School of Business at NYU. He sits on the boards of Akari, Knaq, Aurie, Mixlab, Ours Privacy, and Hurray’s Girl Beer and was a Board Observer at EdSights. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy. John lives in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn with his wife, three children and two wirehair dachshunds.
